An efficient and quick protocol for in vitro multiplication of snake plant, Sansevieria trifasciata var. Laurentii [Prain]

An efficient protocol was developed for quick propagation of snake plant under in vitro conditions. Leaf segments sized 1 cm were surface sterilized and inoculated on Murashige Skoog media supplemented with 3% sucrose, 0.8% agar, various concentrations indole-3-butyric acid (1 to 10 mg/L). Cultures maintained 4 5 weeks at standard conditions allow root induction elongation. Shoot triggered upon altering the daytime culture room temperature 37 ± 2 °C. Multiple shoots produced higher IBA concentrations. Another later, individual plantlets excised hardened soil preparation contained small cups before transferring 30 × 20 pots. We discuss probable events effectuating unusual shoot regeneration relatively temperatures without supplementing any cytokinins. This manuscript offers a unique rapid plants using leaf explants cultured airtight-sealed vessels. The success relies led tissue temperatures, while uses only an abrupt shift high temperatures.
